I’ve had my Nexus One for a while now and I want to talk about some of my favorite apps.
(You can scan the barcodes to pull them up on the app store.)
Applications:
Twicca is my favorite twitter client for android so far. It lets you filter your timeline with color bars and text. This makes glancing at your timeline easier to pick out your friends among all the other feeds.
TasKiller Free is a task manager for your phone. Since android runs apps in the background it is easy to forget what you have open. This app makes it easy to see all the apps that are open and shut them down with one click. Managing your apps like this is an easy way to save on battery.
Games:
Since I switched from an iPhone to the Nexus One the one thing I really missed was games. It has taken me a while to find ones I don’t delete after 2hours. Here are some of my favorites,
Word Search Unlimited is an easy word search game with a lot going on. This app beats any other word search app I had on my iphone. I love the themes and the large word database. I’ve been known to carry around a word search book in my purse to pass the time so, this app makes my purse a lot lighter.

I don’t know about you but I love to play Klondike Solitaire. It is one of the first apps I put on any phone or computer when I get it. This app does everything I want in a solitaire game. It is just simple. I can pick a theme for the deck and when a card can be moved to the Ace pile it automatically moves the card for you, which makes me games go by faster so you can get more games in a short amount of time.
Jewels is the best version of a Bejeweled style game for android. It has the best graphics and cleanest game board of any other jewel type game I’ve downloaded. It also has quick responses to each move and generates very different board each time you play.

I had an iPhone, and too, would have married it if I could. Had to give it up due to poor coverage in my area. Been toting around a Blackberry Pearl, and it’s sufficient, almost. Looking for another option and I want to fall as hard as I did for the iPhone. Perhaps, this is the other fish in sea they speak of?
